Student Bio
Young Jeon is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at Penn State University. In May 2014, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in structural systems. Young is a member of a number of professional and student organizations including the Penn State Chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute (Student Society of Architectural Engineers) and United States Green Building Council.
During the last summer, Young participated in structural engineering internships with the Nitterhouse Concrete Products Inc., a prestressed precast concrete structural product specialty producing company. During this time of internship, Young learned a valuable lessons in practical structural engineering insight, fundamentals of prestressed precast concrete, and design process of different prestressed precast concrete structural elements. Young also had passed the FE Exam this past March and will gain Engineering in Training (EIT) status upon his graduation in May 2015. He strives to gain a professional experience in a structural consulting firm or a design build firm to obtain the Professional Engineering license (PE).
